Orestis Lazarou came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by De Kasteelheren's Harold Rodenboog. But to his dismay, Harold Rodenboog quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Inácio Amaral was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. De Kasteelheren's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Orestis Lazarou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a little luck, Rondo's Orestis Lazarou got control of the ball when Inácio Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacco Hekman hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Rondo's goalkeeper Orestis Lazarou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inácio Amaral. Leon Scholte was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 28 minutes into the match. Rondo's Orestis Lazarou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Rondo from getting a goal against them. Inácio Amaral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Orestis Lazarou when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 32nd minute, Jurgen Winters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orestis Lazarou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inácio Amaral in the 33rd minute. Rondo's Orestis Lazarou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Rondo from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the match, Rondo's goal looked a bit too open when Harold Rodenboog came free, but Orestis Lazarou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inácio Amaral got free with Orestis Lazarou in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orestis Lazarou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdi Vorenkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio Amaral was the one to do the kick off. De Kasteelheren's Fokke Meijeringh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnout Arends in the 55th minute of play. After 56 minutes of play, Rondo's Asdrubal Rodríguez made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fokke Meijeringh was left in no man's land by his defense there! 61 minutes into the game, Harold Rodenboog cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Orestis Lazarou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 68 minutes into the match, Rondo's goal looked a bit too open when Harold Rodenboog came free, but Orestis Lazarou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rondo made a substitution. Miguel Lope replaced Asdrubal Rodríguez. Inácio Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orestis Lazarou having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Lope came free, but Fokke Meijeringh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orestis Lazarou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Rodenboog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. De Kasteelheren's Fokke Meijeringh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnout Arends in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 81 minutes, Inácio Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Kasteelheren's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Inácio Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rondo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for De Kasteelheren.
