In the 12th minute Victor Gronden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Big Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Big Wall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickael van Zeggeren in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match Oranjú FC got a corner. Heineken Youths's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Coos Collins ran over to the corner to take the kick. Oranjú FC's Nick Need played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralph Koopmans in the 19th minute of play. If Victor Gronden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Frits Som hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oranjú FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Ralph Koopmans scored to the left of an out of position Nick Need, making the score, 1-1. Oranjú FC's Nick Need proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Oranjú FC from getting a goal against them. Victor Gronden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Oranjú FC booed when Heineken Youths was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerrit Hanekamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nick Need stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Strong Body's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Oranjú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Strong Body came free, but Nick Need reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Frits Som was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heineken Youths's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oranjú FC the free kick. Frits Som kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Victor Gronden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute Strong Body shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nick Need saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mickael van Zeggeren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Big Wall having to interfere. After 86 minutes of play Heineken Youths's Frits Som was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 87th match minute, Heineken Youths was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frits Som to maneuver through the defense. Oranjú FC's Coos Collins got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 94 played minutes Oranjú FC got a freekick which was hit by Gert van Zomeren. Oranjú FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Heineken Youths had won, even though Oranjú FC had held more of the ball.
