In the 9th minute, Gerard Hoogsteen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leon Meyer. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 12th minute, Rob Deiman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans Pik was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 15 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's Gerard Hoogsteen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leon Meyer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Rob Deiman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Rein van Steensel came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Zijdewind SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rein van Steensel couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the game, Norbert Balogh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GALATASARAY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zijdewind SC the free kick. Norbert Balogh hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. GALATASARAY's Norbert Balogh was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 34th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Norbert Balogh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when GALATASARAY's Jasper van Beukering fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 46 minutes into the game, Huib de Zwaan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GALATASARAY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zijdewind SC the free kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rein van Steensel to make the kick off. When GALATASARAY's Norbert Balogh in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zijdewind SC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Norbert Balogh got a free kick in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Zijdewind SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard Hoogsteen came free, but Leon Meyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norbert Balogh struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Leon Meyer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GALATASARAY. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Ferry Dekkers got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Robin ten Rouwelaar kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Norbert Balogh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GALATASARAY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After some careless play in the Zijdewind SC defense, Gerard Hoogsteen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leon Meyer. The Zijdewind SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leon Meyer should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd play minute Ferdi Dekens came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hans Pik. 4-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rob Deiman in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans Pik saved GALATASARAY from getting behind. 80 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's Gerard Hoogsteen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leon Meyer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 82nd minute Gerard Hoogsteen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Norbert Balogh had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leon Meyer. Zijdewind SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norbert Balogh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Norbert Balogh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Meyer having to interfere. Leon Meyer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerard Hoogsteen went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-2 was the resulting score.
