Joop Houtman got his second yellow card in the match during the 11th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when Decathlon Dudes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joop Houtman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Gerard Hoogsteen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Onderwater saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Decathlon Dudes defense, Norbert Balogh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Otto Onderwater. The Decathlon Dudes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Otto Onderwater should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jasper van Beukering in the 20th minute of play forced Decathlon Dudes's goalkeeper Otto Onderwater to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When John Bosman came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Decathlon Dudes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Bosman couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the match, Gerard Hoogsteen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otto Onderwater. Decathlon Dudes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerard Hoogsteen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 34th minute Huib de Zwaan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Onderwater saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otto Onderwater made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jasper van Beukering in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to Decathlon Dudes getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Gerald Haar hit a great ball. GALATASARAY's Norbert Balogh got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruud Eulen's late challenge caught a GALATASARAY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruud Eulen helped the player get up and apologised. Otto Onderwater made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willem Been in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to Decathlon Dudes getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Otto Kroeze hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John Bosman to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Jacques Smits got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hans Pik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacques Smits, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willem Been in the 57th minute of play forced Decathlon Dudes's goalkeeper Otto Onderwater to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Gerard Hoogsteen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Otto Onderwater. The goal made the score 2-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Otto Kroeze during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Decathlon Dudes getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Otto Kroeze hit a great ball. Otto Onderwater was a little too slow when Domenik Haar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 2-4. A hard shot 66 in the game by Willem Been from a close distance when the talented Otto Onderwater managed to make a qualified save. Decathlon Dudes's players were relieved. Willem Been could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Otto Onderwater made a huge save. 74 minutes into the match, Decathlon Dudes's goalkeeper Otto Onderwater had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willem Been. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, John Bosman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Decathlon Dudes's supporters rose to their feet, but John Bosman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Pik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Otto Onderwater was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Gerard Hoogsteen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gerard Hoogsteen really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. In the 86th minute, Gerard Hoogsteen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Otto Onderwater. The goal made the score 2-6. Willem Been could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Otto Onderwater made a huge save.
