Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) GALATASARAY's Gerard Hoogsteen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huib de Zwaan to maneuver through the defense. 3 minutes into the match, FC Schoonhoven's Alessio Darmanin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 4th minute Gerard de Visser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Pik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the GALATASARAY defense, Gerard de Visser kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans Pik. The GALATASARAY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans Pik should have stopped the shot. Hans Pik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Otten in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Darmanin came free, but Hans Pik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Gerard de Visser left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Schoonhoven fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 28 minutes of play, FC Schoonhoven's Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hans Pik was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Kuis in the 30th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Hans Pik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard de Visser came free, but Hans Pik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hans Pik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Gerard de Visser notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of GALATASARAY's Hans Pik. Hans Pik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hans Pik. Hans Pik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessio Darmanin got free with Hans Pik in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Theo Otten scored 0-8 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hans Pik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jasper van Beukering hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Otten in the 60th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Hans Pik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans Pik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard de Visser in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, FC Schoonhoven's Eric Kuis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hans Pik. Hans Pik yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. 69 minutes into the game, Theo Otten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Hans Pik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Hans Pik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerard de Visser. In the 76th minute, Eric Kuis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hans Pik was a little too slow when Alessio Darmanin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 0-12. Hans Pik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Otten in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, FC Schoonhoven's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Balogh came free, but Jamie Constantine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute of the match GALATASARAY got a corner. FC Schoonhoven's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Norbert Balogh ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Christijan Germs heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 86 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Hans Pik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp. Hans Pik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerard de Visser, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Sandu Bârsan charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sandu Bârsan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 92 played minutes FC Schoonhoven got a freekick which was hit by Sandu Bârsan. 93 minutes into the match, FC Schoonhoven's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Balogh came free, but Jamie Constantine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jamie Constantine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Hoogsteen in the 95th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Theo Otten reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hans Pik. The goal made the score 0-14. FC Schoonhoven played a much better game than GALATASARAY and deserved their victory. The GALATASARAY players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
