Norbert Balogh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coenraad Genkenaar having to interfere. Vleut RKSV's Coenraad Genkenaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Hoogsteen in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Huib de Zwaan got a free kick in the 41st minute. Mark Haken was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Huib de Zwaan hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Vleut RKSV defense, Gerard Hoogsteen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Coenraad Genkenaar. The Vleut RKSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Coenraad Genkenaar should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerard Hoogsteen made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jasper van Beukering got free with Coenraad Genkenaar in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gerard Hoogsteen made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 72ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Coenraad Genkenaar would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Norbert Balogh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Coenraad Genkenaar was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. GALATASARAY played a much better game than Vleut RKSV and deserved their victory. The Vleut RKSV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
