The Zijdewind SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mario Klompe should have stopped the shot. When Norbert Balogh came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the GALATASARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norbert Balogh couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Zijdewind SC defense, Norbert Balogh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mario Klompe. The Zijdewind SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mario Klompe should have stopped the shot. Melvin Woering hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerard Hoogsteen in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario Klompe saved Zijdewind SC from getting behind. The GALATASARAY fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when GALATASARAY's Gerard Hoogsteen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 32 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Ferry Dekkers. Norbert Balogh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerard Hoogsteen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Klompe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After 38 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Otto Dijken. In the 43rd minute Norbert Balogh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Klompe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Zijdewind SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GALATASARAY were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerard Hoogsteen was the one to do the kick off. Mario Klompe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Balogh, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After taking down the ball on GALATASARAY's corner Gerard Hoogsteen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mario Klompe quite easily take care of the ball. Otto Dijken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Mario Klompe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Zijdewind SC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ferdi Dekens hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match, Norbert Balogh tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mario Klompe saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gerard Hoogsteen took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mario Klompe. Mario Klompe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After 64 minutes of play, GALATASARAY's Norbert Balogh made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mario Klompe was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Jasper van Beukering in the 69th minute of play forced Zijdewind SC's goalkeeper Mario Klompe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mario Klompe came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by GALATASARAY's Gerard Hoogsteen. But to his dismay, Gerard Hoogsteen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. When Norbert Balogh came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the GALATASARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norbert Balogh couldn't finish the play. When Robin ten Rouwelaar fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zijdewind SC's protests and gave Robin ten Rouwelaar a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Zijdewind SC got a freekick which was hit by Robin ten Rouwelaar. After 81 minutes of play, GALATASARAY's Robbie Hofmeester made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. GALATASARAY's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
