When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Andrea Di Tullio sped through Wullenhoven's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dave van Zomeren. In the 9th minute, Witalis Blicharz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dave van Zomeren was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 12 minutes in the game, Klaas Jan Kramer fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dave van Zomeren having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Wullenhoven's Dirk Roeles got a free kick in the 12th minute. A collision led to afc champs getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jochem Wijnands hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Arno Fransen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dave van Zomeren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Witalis Blicharz in the 21st minute. Dave van Zomeren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrea Di Tullio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gigi Donnarumma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Hilbrands, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Dave van Zomeren was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Bolli Bompastor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bolli Bompastor really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Witalis Blicharz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrea Di Tullio to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Bolli Bompastor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dave van Zomeren was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Dave van Zomeren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bolli Bompastor in the 74th minute of play forced Wullenhoven's goalkeeper Dave van Zomeren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dirk Roeles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Donnarumma having to interfere. Dirk Roeles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Gigi Donnarumma skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The long shot by Geert Haremeijer in the 92nd minute really tested Gigi Donnarumma's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Witalis Blicharz scored 8-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dave van Zomeren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. afc champs's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
