Dedé Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sjaak Degens's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After some careless play in the FC Geitenkamp defense, Iwo Wietrzychowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dedé Magalhães. The FC Geitenkamp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dedé Magalhães should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Ferry Hebels managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buitenhout FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferry Hebels was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dedé Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dedé Magalhães came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Buitenhout FC's Ruud Reinders. But to his dismay, Ruud Reinders quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. David Jans took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dedé Magalhães. Dedé Magalhães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. FC Geitenkamp's Dedé Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwo Wietrzychowski in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Buitenhout FC's Sjaak Degens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dedé Magalhães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Henrique Varela's late challenge caught a Buitenhout FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain.
