In the 4th minute Antonio Txaran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Mihoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Buitenhout FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Hannibal Lecter hit a great ball. Zsigmond Bodor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjaak Degens in the 13th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Michael Stekelenburg could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Tudor Mihoc however easily saved by the left post. In the 22nd minute, Antonio Txaran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruud Reinders's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zsigmond Bodor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Antonio Txaran recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tudor Mihoc. Antonio Txaran showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Sjaak Degens came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Buitenhout FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sjaak Degens couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antonio Txaran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Buitenhout FC's Ruud Reinders sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zsigmond Bodor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Yorrick Sneijder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Telgt made a substitution. Ralf Zeydeveld replaced Nikos Kissas. When Telgt's Antonio Txaran in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buitenhout FC's goalie prevented a goal. Zsigmond Bodor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruud Reinders, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Tudor Mihoc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Txaran in the 79th minute of the match. Zsigmond Bodor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sjaak Degens's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 82ndth minute of the game Ruud Reinders who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Telgt's Zsigmond Bodor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ruud Reinders's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zsigmond Bodor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Shantala in the 91st minute of play forced Buitenhout FC's goalkeeper Tudor Mihoc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Ruud Reinders recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zsigmond Bodor. Ruud Reinders showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Telgt players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
