Dave van Zomeren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Americo Isauro in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio De Sanctis in the 8th minute of play forced Wullenhoven's goalkeeper Dave van Zomeren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Alfredão Quintal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dave van Zomeren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wullenhoven's Dave van Zomeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Americo Isauro in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Wullenhoven's Dirk Roeles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dedé Magalhães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão Quintal in the 17th minute of play forced Wullenhoven's goalkeeper Dave van Zomeren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes, Geert Haremeijer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wullenhoven and the FC Geitenkamp players grew even worse after the yellow card. Americo Isauro scored 3-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dave van Zomeren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Medo Mandø's late challenge caught a Wullenhoven's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Medo Mandø helped the player get up and apologised. Medo Mandø kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Dave van Zomeren came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Geitenkamp's Alfredão Quintal. But to his dismay, Alfredão Quintal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Americo Isauro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Dave van Zomeren made a huge save. 35 minutes into the game, Alessio De Sanctis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dave van Zomeren. Alessio De Sanctis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. In the 39th minute of the game, Koen Stam landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Medo Mandø was shown his second yellow card after 39 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Alessio De Sanctis struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Dave van Zomeren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Geitenkamp. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dirk Roeles to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC Geitenkamp booed when Wullenhoven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arno Fransen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 56 played minutes FC Geitenkamp got a freekick which was hit by Frits Randag. When Alfredão Quintal fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Geitenkamp's protests and gave Alfredão Quintal a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes FC Geitenkamp got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Quintal. A hard shot by Dirk Roeles from long distance, 61 minutes into the match, got Dedé Magalhães's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The Wullenhoven fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dave van Zomeren should have stopped the shot. Arno Fransen charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arno Fransen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes Wullenhoven got a freekick which was hit by Arno Fransen. In the 85th minute of the match Alessio De Sanctis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dave van Zomeren skillfully saved the ball. In the 95th minute Alessio De Sanctis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave van Zomeren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliver Zuidema's late challenge caught a FC Geitenkamp's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliver Zuidema helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Geitenkamp booed when Wullenhoven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Zuidema didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Geitenkamp's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
