In the 41st minute Jan de Vlieger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Stroobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Petersson in the 43rd minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zhou Kang Cheng made a kick off. Ted Stroobos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serge Frankena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ted Stroobos made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Bengt Petersson sent off a good shot on target. Albertus FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Emiliano Caiola scored to the left of an out of position Ted Stroobos, making the score, 0-10. 75 minutes into the match, Albertus FC's goalkeeper Ted Stroobos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt van der Laan. Christijan van Asseldonk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ralph Roeles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. With a little luck, Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos got control of the ball when Kurt van der Laan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Albertus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Petersson came free, but Ted Stroobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
