Dennis Beerthuis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jochem Rijkaard in the 13th minute of play. Dennis Beerthuis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Hilhorst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hermengildo Nesor to make the kick off. Dukaton f.c.'s Foeke Wisgerhof played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Nesor in the 59th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Hermengildo Nesor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Foeke Wisgerhof was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Foeke Wisgerhof prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dennis Beerthuis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukas Blaauwgeers, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Winthont FC's Marc van Nistelrooij seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marc van Nistelrooij the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Winthont FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marc van Nistelrooij had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 86th minute, Igor Fujara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dennis Beerthuis made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Svetlozar Chukovski sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute Jochem Rijkaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Beerthuis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Svetlozar Chukovski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dukaton f.c.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Winthont FC the free kick. In the 92nd match minute, Dukaton f.c. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svetlozar Chukovski to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dukaton f.c.'s goalkeeper Foeke Wisgerhof, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dukaton f.c.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Werner Hoving was slow to take the kick. During this time Winthont FC's players had a chance to rest. Coos van Ankeren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
