Potentia's goalkeeper Mathijs Tevreden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Boca Gregorian Juniors's goalkeeper Henk-Jan Appel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristján Kipper. S.C. Potentia's Mathijs Tevreden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sébastien Haller in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to S.C. Potentia getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Roger Ijspol hit a great ball. Roman Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Kristján Kipper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C. Potentia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristján Kipper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mathijs Tevreden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demy Salens, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 37 minutes into the match, Boca Gregorian Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Kristján Kipper came free, but Henk-Jan Appel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, S.C. Potentia's Kristján Kipper dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Potentia were awarded a corner. Roman Pitin went to the cornerflag to take it. Mathijs Tevreden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demy Salens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Gerard Daamen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathijs Tevreden was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. S.C. Potentia's Mathijs Tevreden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sébastien Haller in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Kristján Kipper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristján Kipper's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henk-Jan Appel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Rensenbrink during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 played minutes S.C. Potentia got a freekick which was hit by Erik Rensenbrink. In the 86th minute Wim Oldenborger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathijs Tevreden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerard Daamen scored 1-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mathijs Tevreden, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Herbert Gabler kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Kristján Kipper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Henk-Jan Appel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Demy Salens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mathijs Tevreden. S.C. Potentia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Demy Salens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4.
