Spectators: 6854 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1854, VIP seats: 0) Birkirkara Youngsters's Jake Attard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roderick Gonzi in the 3rd minute of play. Edward Bajo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jake Attard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9thth minute of the game Edward Bajo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birkirkara Youngsters's Jake Attard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Roderick Gonzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sliema's supporters rose to their feet, but Roderick Gonzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jake Attard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the match, Sliema's goalkeeper Brady Fabri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrea Cefai. Adriano Girard's late challenge caught a Birkirkara Youngsters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adriano Girard helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, Adriano Girard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Birkirkara Youngsters's zone, Edward Bajo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jake Attard came out of the goal and Edward Bajo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sliema booed when Birkirkara Youngsters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dyson Mifsud didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roderick Gonzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jake Attard having to interfere. Jake Attard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roderick Gonzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Bajo made a kick off. Dyson Mifsud hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Andrea Cefai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Triganz in the 70th minute of play forced Sliema's goalkeeper Brady Fabri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sliema getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Andrew Montanaro hit a great ball. In the 78th minute Edward Bajo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jake Attard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Birkirkara Youngsters's Jake Attard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Birkirkara Youngsters from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Birkirkara Youngsters's Sean Bartoli got a free kick in the 87th minute. Edward Bajo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jake Attard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Sliema got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Montanaro. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
