Keith Cilia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Annetto Paris in the 10th minute of the match. Mosta's Keith Cilia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Annetto Paris in the 13th minute of play. Mtarfa Gunners's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silvio Axiak in the 14th minute. After taking down the ball on Mtarfa Gunners's corner Silvio Axiak fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Keith Cilia quite easily take care of the ball. Annetto Paris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keith Cilia having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Eddie Brockdorff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charlon Calì sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Mtarfa Gunners's goalkeeper Anthony Fabrizio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yan Musumeci . When Mtarfa Gunners's Annetto Paris in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mtarfa Gunners's Annetto Paris got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 39 minutes, Eddie Brockdorff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mtarfa Gunners's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eddie Brockdorff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Annetto Paris in the 42nd minute of play forced Mosta's goalkeeper Keith Cilia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Keith Cilia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45thth minute of the game Annetto Paris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mosta's Keith Cilia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Annetto Paris to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Joseph Scifo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mosta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mtarfa Gunners the free kick. Joseph Scifo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the game, Felix Arce recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Keith Cilia. Felix Arce showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 63 minutes into the match, Mosta's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Arce came free, but Keith Cilia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Mosta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Crockford to maneuver through the defense. Annetto Paris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Keith Cilia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mtarfa Gunners! Anthony Fabrizio went to the wrong direction when Annetto Zampa was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Charlon Calì notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Mtarfa Gunners's Anthony Fabrizio. Anthony Fabrizio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute of the match, Silvio Axiak tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Keith Cilia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Jacob Bongailas came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Mosta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacob Bongailas couldn't finish the play. Felix Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keith Cilia having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Annetto Paris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mtarfa Gunners's supporters rose to their feet, but Annetto Paris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keith Cilia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Mtarfa Gunners's Istivan Lauri got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute of the match Annetto Zampa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anthony Fabrizio skillfully saved the ball. In the 97th minute, Charlon Calì made a precise shot to the right of Anthony Fabrizio. Mtarfa Gunners's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2.
