Spectators: 6881 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1881, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Harry Risso made the kick off which started today's match. Harry Risso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duminku Peel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Colin Brincau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nadur Youngsters's supporters rose to their feet, but Colin Brincau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cleaven Salinos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute, Daniel Pickard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Spagnol's late challenge caught a Buġibba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tony Spagnol helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Buġibba booed when Nadur Youngsters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Spagnol didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Thomas Fitzpatrick sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duminku Peel skillfully saved the ball. With his leg Cleaven Salinos managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Nadur Youngsters's Colin Brincau fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cleaven Salinos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colin Brincau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Mary Denaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duminku Peel having to interfere. Nadur Youngsters's Duminku Peel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Risso in the 41st minute of play. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Buġibba! Nadur Youngsters were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Buġibba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tony Spagnol took the corner. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tommy Rosso was the one to do the kick off. Harry Risso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duminku Peel having to make a save. Duminku Peel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Risso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harry Risso struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Duminku Peel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buġibba. Tommy Rosso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Rosso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleaven Salinos having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Colin Brincau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nadur Youngsters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Rosso in the 86th minute of play forced Buġibba's goalkeeper Cleaven Salinos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harry Risso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Colin Brincau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleaven Salinos having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Daniel Pickard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buġibba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nadur Youngsters the free kick. After 95 played minutes Buġibba got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Pickard. Harry Risso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duminku Peel having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nadur Youngsters had won after a very even match.
