Spectators: 6875 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1875, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tommy Rosso got the match started through his kick off. If Colin Brincau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tommy Rosso came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Nadur Youngsters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Rosso couldn't finish the play. Duminku Peel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Tanti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Qala's Tim Tanti got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 20 minutes, Godwin Mercieca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Qala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godwin Mercieca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tommy Rosso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tyrone Sapiano came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Nadur Youngsters's Colin Brincau. But to his dismay, Colin Brincau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tommy Rosso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Qala's Evan Cohen got a free kick in the 29th minute. Tyrone Sapiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Rosso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 minutes of play, Qala's Tim Tanti made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duminku Peel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tim Tanti struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Duminku Peel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Qala. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tim Tanti was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Qala booed when Nadur Youngsters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiobian Besseling didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 minutes, Fiobian Besseling mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nadur Youngsters and the Qala players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fiobian Besseling hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Godwin Mercieca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Duminku Peel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colin Brincau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tim Tanti in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duminku Peel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Godwin Mercieca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Duminku Peel made a huge save. In the 69th match minute, Nadur Youngsters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Simler to maneuver through the defense. If Tommy Rosso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colin Brincau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Tyrone Sapiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Rosso in the 83rd minute of play forced Qala's goalkeeper Tyrone Sapiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colin Brincau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyrone Sapiano having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Godwin Mercieca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Qala's supporters rose to their feet, but Godwin Mercieca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duminku Peel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Rosso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tyrone Sapiano having to make a save. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
