Roberto Sammut made a great header on Skull Tower MFC's corner, it was just that Cospicua Youngsters's Franco Axiak managed to reach the ball for a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 70th minute, Thomas Deguara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute Jesred Titley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone Terribile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Cospicua Youngsters fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Cospicua Youngsters's Jesred Titley looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. James Ebejer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noel Avellino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Franco Axiak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cospicua Youngsters booed when Skull Tower MFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Cuschieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Skull Tower MFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
