In the 11thth minute of the game Andrew Captur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luqa St.Andrews's Bernard Grima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute, Andrew Captur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernard Grima was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Andrew Captur notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Luqa St.Andrews's Bernard Grima. Bernard Grima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernard Grima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew Captur, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steve Debono during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cospicua Youngsters's Rosario Grixti got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 59th match minute, Luqa St.Andrews was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Callus to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Andrew Captur could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Bernard Grima however easily saved by the left post. Jesred Titley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Bernard Grima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute Jesred Titley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Grima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrew Capturs short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Bernard Grima to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrew Captur got free with Bernard Grima in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bernard Grima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cedric Lanzon in the 71st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christan Flask during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Christan Flask hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 77 played minutes Cospicua Youngsters got a freekick which was hit by Cedric Lanzon. The supporters of Luqa St.Andrews booed when Cospicua Youngsters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Jesred Titley took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Bernard Grima to make any attempt to save it. Cedric Restall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Luqa St.Andrews getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Tommy Mugliett hit a great ball. In the 97th minute, Rosario Grixti sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Luqa St.Andrews's Bernard Grima didn't even have to move. The Cospicua Youngsters supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cospicua Youngsters would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
