Spectators: 6851 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1851, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Paul Navarro kicked off to start the match. Albert Scicluna kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Luke Gonzaga, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 10 minutes into the game, Steve Mumford was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportaholic Bugibba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Ġwann Knights the free kick. After 10 played minutes Sportaholic Bugibba got a freekick which was hit by Steve Mumford. Alexander Covich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Joseph Cutajar made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, Alexander Covich had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joseph Cutajar. Sportaholic Bugibba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexander Covich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Albert Scicluna took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benoir Dingli. Benoir Dingli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 21 played minutes San Ġwann Knights got a freekick which was hit by Cleaven Sullivan. Alexander Covich in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joseph Cutajar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jurgen Carren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paul Navarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 32nd minute of the match Steve Mumford completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Steve Mumford a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Jurgen Carren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Covich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Cutajar having to interfere. Joseph Cutajar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jurgen Carren in the 40th minute of the match. When the match had been going on for 47 minutes, San Ġwann Knights's Luke Gonzaga got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Joseph Cutajar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexander Covich to make the kick off. Louis Alessandro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Paul Navarro fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportaholic Bugibba's protests and gave Paul Navarro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sportaholic Bugibba getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Paul Navarro hit a great ball. In the 57th minute Alexander Covich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Cutajar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Louis Alessandro struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Benoir Dingli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportaholic Bugibba. Joseph Cutajar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Covich, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Albert Scicluna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Louis Alessandro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benoir Dingli having to interfere. Louis Alessandro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 minutes of play, San Ġwann Knights's Alexander Covich made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseph Cutajar was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute, Alexander Covich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joseph Cutajar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cleaven Sullivan went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After 93 played minutes Sportaholic Bugibba got a freekick which was hit by Jurgen Quintano. If Alexander Covich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
