Ghadira FC's Emenon Palomar suffered a sore thigh after 19 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Luke Mizzi's late challenge caught a Ghadira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luke Mizzi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tarġa Gap Youngsters's Luke Mizzi got a free kick in the 20th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nathaniel Manicolo couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Ivan Testaferrata Moroni Viani took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Gong Bing Yan to make any attempt to save it. Justin Ambrogio took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Owen Cardona. Owen Cardona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 46thth minute of the game Adrian Cassar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarġa Gap Youngsters's Owen Cardona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Testaferrata Moroni Viani was the one to do the kick off. Adrian Cassar took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Owen Cardona. Owen Cardona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. The referee felt a red card was in order, 82 minutes into the game, when Nick Alessandro put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Tarġa Gap Youngsters:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ghadira FC:s goal. In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Ghadira FC. Redent Nappa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Owen Cardona. 1-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathaniel Manicolo in the 88th minute of play forced Ghadira FC's goalkeeper Gong Bing Yan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bjorn Triganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
