Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Oliver Rolè started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Naxxar Lions's Malcolm Spiteri managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Andrew Borg in the 3 minute of the game. With 5 minutes on the clock, Charles Polidano commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Naxxar Lions's Timothy Mula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Rolè in the 12th minute of play. Timothy Mula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Caruana Curran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Caruana Curran in the 18th minute of play forced Naxxar Lions's goalkeeper Timothy Mula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timothy Mula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Caruana Curran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Darren Taliana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Timothy Mula was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Louis Demanuele hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Jacob Caruana Curran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Timothy Mula having to make a save. Oliver Rolè received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Timothy Mula tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timothy Mula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Caruana Curran in the 34th minute of play. Madliena's Louis Bondin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Madliena from getting a goal against them. If Oliver Rolè had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Naxxar Lions players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Madliena were winning 0-2.

Naxxar Lions's Timothy Mula proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Naxxar Lions from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Naxxar Lions's Malcolm Spiteri got a free kick in the 55th minute. Timothy Mula made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacob Caruana Curran in the 56th minute. Jacob Caruana Curran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timothy Mula having to interfere. Oliver Rolè fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timothy Mula having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Etienne Massa in the 64th minute of play forced Naxxar Lions's goalkeeper Timothy Mula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malcolm Spiteri hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Jacob Caruana Curran could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Timothy Mula however easily saved by the left post. Jacob Caruana Curran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timothy Mula having to interfere. Timothy Mula was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Darren Taliana showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 86 minute of play. Louis Bondin came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Naxxar Lions's Louis Demanuele. But to his dismay, Louis Demanuele quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The Naxxar Lions fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Madliena were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
