With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmond Ciascun in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Arapa saved Templars FC from getting behind. After 22 played minutes Templars FC got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Camilleri Parlato. After a defensive mix-up in Templars FC's zone, Edmond Ciascun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Arapa came out of the goal and Edmond Ciascun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gavin Bandi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Arapa having to interfere. Gavin Bandi struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Angelo Arapa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Birguma. After having played for 40 minutes, Isaac Saguna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Templars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Saguna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Bajo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 42nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gavin Bandi to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Birguma got a freekick which was hit by Charlo Rogerson. Templars FC's Anthony Camilleri Parlato got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goalkeeper Angelo Arapa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmond Ciascun. Templars FC's Raymond Maggi got his second yellow card of the match in the 68th minute. The referee ordered Raymond Maggi off the ground. In the 67th minute, one of Templars FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Templars FC. The goalkeeper, Angelo Arapa, was totally fooled by Birguma's Neil McElwee, who 70 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Edmond Ciascun might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelo Arapa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmond Ciascun ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Templars FC's goalkeeper Angelo Arapa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Birguma's Charlo Rogerson got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Isaac Saguna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Edmond Ciascun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andre Henwood during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Birguma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Henwood to maneuver through the defense. Sean England's late challenge caught a Birguma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Arapa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 94 minutes into the game, Anthony Camilleri Parlato cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Vince De Giovanni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Birguma's Andre Henwood in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Templars FC's goalie prevented a goal. Neil Polidano charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Neil Polidano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Birguma booed when Templars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil Polidano didn't get a good kick on the ball.
