Kyle Alamango sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Luqa SA's Martin Bonello got control of the ball when Cleaven Denaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eleven Wonders's Cleaven Denaro got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Eleven Wonders's goalkeeper Nathan Roberts, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Kurt Alessandro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Luqa SA's Martin Bonello didn't even have to move. In the 32nd minute, Angelo Christophoro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Luqa SA booed when Eleven Wonders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgio Petrocochino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 minutes of play, Luqa SA's Stephen Cassar Overend made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nathan Roberts was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd minute, Andrew Carbonaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleaven Denaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cleaven Denaro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Martin Bonello skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half Luqa SA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Christophoro made a kick off. Eleven Wonders's Nathan Roberts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Alamango in the 51st minute of play. Nathan Roberts made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Stephen Cassar Overend sent off a good shot on target. Andrew Carbonaro kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Kurt Alessandro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Luqa SA's Martin Bonello didn't even have to move. Kyle Alamango received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Nathan Roberts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kyle Alamango spun around in front of the goal 62 minutes in the game and got away a good shot, but Nathan Roberts grabbed the ball before it went up in top right corner. John Galdes kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Cleaven Denaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Bonello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keithrick Buttigieg kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After having played for 71 minutes, Stephen Cassar Overend managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luqa SA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stephen Cassar Overend was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Luqa SA booed when Eleven Wonders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xandru Accardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Andrew Carbonaro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. In the 77th match minute, Luqa SA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrew Carbonaro to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the game, Angelo Christophoro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Martin Bonello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute Kyle Alamango shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathan Roberts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Eleven Wonders's Nathan Roberts got control of the ball when Stephen Cassar Overend tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kyle Alamango could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Nathan Roberts made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Luqa SA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
