The referee showed Bjorn Ellis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Valletta Spurs FC's Bjorn Ellis got a free kick in the 8th minute. Xandru Accardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Aidan Xerri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Valletta Spurs FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Borda to maneuver through the defense. Colin Deguara kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Carmel Aber charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmel Aber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, Eleven Wonders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmel Aber to maneuver through the defense. If Jake Manchè had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cleaven Denaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aidan Xerri having to interfere. Aidan Xerri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleaven Denaro in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Cleaven Denaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Valletta Spurs FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Angelo Christophoro scored to the left of an out of position Aidan Xerri, making the score, 0-1. Aidan Xerri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cleaven Denaro in the 58th minute. Nathan Roberts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jake Manchè, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kurt Alessandro hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Valletta Spurs FC's Aidan Xerri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Christophoro in the 76th minute of play. Valletta Spurs FC's Bjorn Ellis got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cleaven Denaro struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Aidan Xerri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eleven Wonders. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Cleaven Denaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eleven Wonders's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleaven Denaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aidan Xerri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 90 minutes, Angelo Christophoro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eleven Wonders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Christophoro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Valletta Spurs FC's goalkeeper Aidan Xerri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cleaven Denaro. Valletta Spurs FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Angelo Christophoro scored to the left of an out of position Aidan Xerri, making the score, 0-2. Eleven Wonders's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
