Adrian Buhagiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Engerer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 26 minutes, Tommy Vassallo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FALCONERS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Vassallo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Etienne Amato Gauci in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Buhagiar saved FK Kai from getting behind. 29 minutes into the game, Anthony Fiteni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FK Kai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FALCONERS the free kick. In the 29th minute, Anthony Fiteni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Vassallo took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adrian Buhagiar. Adrian Buhagiar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After having played for 34 minutes, Thomas Engerer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FALCONERS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Engerer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Etienne Amato Gaucis short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Adrian Buhagiar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tommy Vassallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Adrian Buhagiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Thomas Engerer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Massimo Tufignio was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Massimo Tufignio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nils Söderqvist, 4-1. Tommy Vassallo scored 6-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adrian Buhagiar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Etienne Amato Gauci in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Buhagiar saved FK Kai from getting behind. Adrian Buhagiar came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by FALCONERS's Tommy Vassallo. But to his dismay, Tommy Vassallo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. With a little luck, FALCONERS's Nils Söderqvist got control of the ball when Matt Xiberras tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Etienne Amato Gauci in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Buhagiar saved FK Kai from getting behind. After having played for 83 minutes, Thomas Engerer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 95th match minute, FK Kai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Callus to maneuver through the defense. FALCONERS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
