Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Karistu Galea Feriol got the match started through his kick off. Josh Sant Manduca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karistu Galea Feriol in the 8th minute of the match. Karistu Galea Feriol had several of the Fgura Athleta's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Josh Sant Manduca as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 13th minute, Pierre Cassar fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Pierre Cassar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Josh Sant Manduca made a huge save. After some careless play in the Fgura Athleta defense, Pierre Cassar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josh Sant Manduca. The Fgura Athleta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josh Sant Manduca should have stopped the shot. Pierre Cassar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 21st playminute. In the 24th match minute, Luqa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karistu Galea Feriol to maneuver through the defense. Pierre Cassars short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Josh Sant Manduca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 32 minutes into the match, Luqa's Karistu Galea Feriol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josh Sant Manduca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Karistu Galea Feriol might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josh Sant Manduca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karistu Galea Feriol ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Karistu Galea Feriol kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Josh Sant Manduca. That made the score 4-0 in the 38 minute of play. Pierre Cassar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Luqa fans' excitement grew in the 49th match minute when Luqa's Karistu Galea Feriol looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Shawn Griscti made a kick off. Josh Sant Manduca came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Luqa's Karistu Galea Feriol. But to his dismay, Karistu Galea Feriol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fgura Athleta's goalkeeper Josh Sant Manduca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Godwin Bonanno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Fgura Athleta's goal looked a bit too open when Karistu Galea Feriol came free, but Josh Sant Manduca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Fgura Athleta's goal looked a bit too open when Karistu Galea Feriol came free, but Josh Sant Manduca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Luqa's Karistu Galea Feriol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josh Sant Manduca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karistu Galea Feriol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fgura Athleta's Shawn Griscti got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karistu Galea Feriol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh Sant Manduca having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Luqa fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fgura Athleta had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
