Jean Carl Diedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Blanco having to interfere. Carlo Abateo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Abateo in the 54th minute of play forced Marsa whitestars's goalkeeper Jason Blanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Swieqi Wanderers had played much better football throughout.
