Spectators: 6878 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1878, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Anton Losco made the kick off which started today's match. Josh Azzopardi's late challenge caught a Binġemma Youths's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josh Azzopardi helped the player get up and apologised. After 2 played minutes Dingli got a freekick which was hit by Josh Azzopardi. Justin Drago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Losco, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Marco Tortell dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Richard Sant, 1-0. In the 10th minute, Anton Losco made a precise shot to the right of Justin Drago. Dingli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Justin Drago came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Binġemma Youths's Kurt Brincat. But to his dismay, Kurt Brincat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some careless play in the Dingli defense, Kurt Brincat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Justin Drago. The Dingli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justin Drago should have stopped the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Dingli's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Losco came free, but Justin Drago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Brincat in the 24th minute of play forced Dingli's goalkeeper Justin Drago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justin Drago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Losco in the 28th minute of the match. Binġemma Youths's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Marco Tortell scored to the left of an out of position Richard Sant, making the score, 2-3. In the 32nd minute Anton Losco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justin Drago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Dingli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Ciappara to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 41 minutes, Kurt Brincat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Binġemma Youths's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Brincat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justin Drago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Losco, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 43rd match minute, Dingli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matteo Mula to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evan Piscopo in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justin Drago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Binġemma Youths were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Tortell to strike the kick off in the second half. If Dennis Ganado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 minutes, Dennis Ganado made it 3-5 with a short kick to the right side. Binġemma Youths's Richard Sant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anton Losco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kurt Brincat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 71 played minutes Binġemma Youths got a freekick which was hit by Ethan Frendo. Dennis Ganado took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Richard Sant. Richard Sant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-5. Justin Drago was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anton Losco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-6 in the 79 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Anton Losco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Binġemma Youths's supporters rose to their feet, but Anton Losco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justin Drago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kurt Brincat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Binġemma Youths's Anton Losco in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dingli's goalie prevented a goal. Dennis Ganado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Losco in the 92nd minute of play forced Dingli's goalkeeper Justin Drago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justin Drago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anton Losco's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. After 95 played minutes Binġemma Youths got a freekick which was hit by Mark Bajada. The Binġemma Youths supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Binġemma Youths would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
