Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Glenn Bezzina to make the kick off. Gżira Steelers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michele Sansone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Juve 32's goalkeeper Carlo Gatt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Michele Sansone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlo Gatt. Juve 32's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michele Sansone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Juve 32's zone, Michele Sansone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlo Gatt came out of the goal and Michele Sansone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Michele Sansone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michele Sansone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Carlo Gatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gżira Steelers's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
