Spectators: 8442 (Terracing: 6333, Seating: 1941, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antoine Genovese started the match with the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Kurt Mangion successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Mellieħa fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Mellieħa's Ryan Ciantar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Mark Hili fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mellieħa's protests and gave Mark Hili a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Mellieħa's Mark Hili got a free kick in the 16th minute. When Mellieħa's Massimo Pace in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Drac Juve's goalie prevented a goal. Malcolm Griffin came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Mellieħa's Domenic Debono. But to his dismay, Domenic Debono quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Massimo Pace sped through Drac Juve's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Malcolm Griffin. 37 minutes into the game, Ryan Ciantar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Malcolm Griffin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute Ryan Ciantar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Griffin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Malcolm Griffin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Ciantar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ryan Ciantar made the kick off in the second half. Ryan Ciantar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Debono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mellieħa's Peter Debono got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 0-6 became the score in the 61st minute when Ryan Ciantar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Domenic Debono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Massimo Pace in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Malcolm Griffin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Evan Ghio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malcolm Griffin didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 76th minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. In the 81stth minute of the game Oliver Ghio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Drac Juve's Malcolm Griffin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 83 played minutes Drac Juve got a freekick which was hit by Alex Azzopardi. Drac Juve's Malcolm Griffin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenic Debono in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to Drac Juve getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Harry Montebello hit a great ball. The corner led Mellieħa's Ryan Ciantar to fire away a dangerous shot which Malcolm Griffin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 94th minute, Antoine Urpani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 95 played minutes, Drac Juve's Clint Testaferrata Viani shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kurt Mangion came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Drac Juve reached it. Mellieħa's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
