After 18 minutes, Joseph Bigeni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Redemption and the Tuna Chunks players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 minutes, Neil Simiana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Redemption and the Tuna Chunks players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes Red Redemption got a freekick which was hit by Neil Simiana. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christopher Borg Xuereb stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gilbert Alessandro charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 90 played minutes Tuna Chunks got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Tufignio. When the final whistle sounded Tuna Chunks left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Red Redemption.
