But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryan Cassar Naudi couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ryan Cassar Naudi to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that William Agius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Bajada was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 74th play minute Michele Falzon came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Malcolm Griffin. 2-2.
