The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wayne Magro in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steve Stilon saved Luqa from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Wayne Magro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Steve Stilon was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Luqa's Steve Stilon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wayne Magro in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Teodor Dadu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steve Stilon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Bulebel's Teodor Dadu got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Wayne Magro sped through Luqa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Steve Stilon. Teodor Dadu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steve Stilon having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wayne Magro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Teodor Dadu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bulebel's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodor Dadu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Stilon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Steve Stilon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Dadu in the 93rd minute of the match. Teodor Dadu didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 95th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Teodor Dadu ran dejectedly back to his position. Bulebel's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
