A collision led to Portuguesa Maltesa getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Adrian Cioffi hit a great ball. Marsascala Dynamos's Anthony Mamo got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Ryan Laus made a precise shot to the right of Pierre Bartolo. Marsascala Dynamos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Jake Drago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portuguesa Maltesa's supporters rose to their feet, but Jake Drago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pierre Bartolo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Marsascala Dynamos defense, Joshua Preca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pierre Bartolo. The Marsascala Dynamos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierre Bartolo should have stopped the shot. Ryan Laus succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Portuguesa Maltesa's goalkeeper Steve Grech Cumbo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Marsascala Dynamos's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Laus came free, but Pierre Bartolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steve Grech Cumbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyron Cassar Torreggiani, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Adrian Cioffi's late challenge caught a Marsascala Dynamos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Cioffi helped the player get up and apologised. Adrian Cioffi kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Anthony Mamo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Grech Cumbo having to interfere. In the 68th minute Ryan Laus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre Bartolo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Antonio Zampa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ryan Laus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Pierre Bartolo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 78th minute, Jake Drago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portuguesa Maltesa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. In the 82nd minute, Ryan Laus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Ryan Laus kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pierre Bartolo. That made the score 0-7 in the 86 minute of play. Pierre Bartolo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ryan Laus in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Marsascala Dynamos's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Preca came free, but Pierre Bartolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Portuguesa Maltesa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Portuguesa Maltesa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
