The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antoine Genovese stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Drac Juve booed when Cruz Azul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tan Eren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Azzopardi might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bjorn Zahra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Azzopardi ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Cruz Azul FC's zone, William Agius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bjorn Zahra came out of the goal and William Agius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Drac Juve were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cruz Azul FC for a fine match.
