The wind increased when Peter Paul Busuttil made the kick off in the second half. Neville Platamone might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godwin Mumford. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Neville Platamone ran back to his position shaking his head. Godwin Mumford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neville Platamone in the 55th minute of play. Frederick Cini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonard Strickland Bologna charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonard Strickland Bologna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, Leonard Strickland Bologna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the game, Marc Sciberras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yolo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Żejtun Knights the free kick. In the 72ndth minute of the game Frederick Cini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Żejtun Knights's Julian Guerriera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Godwin Mumford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonard Strickland Bologna in the 76th minute. Peter Paul Busuttil struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Julian Guerriera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yolo AFC.
