Alan Satariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Peter Paul Asciak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Juan Duca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tony Petroni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Frederick Hili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes in the game, Jonathan Scriha fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Frederick Hili having to interfere. Frederick Hili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Petroni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tim Callus lost his temper 21 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Gharb Rangers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Banter FC:s goal. A collision led to Gharb Rangers getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jonathan Scriha hit a great ball. When Gharb Rangers's Tony Petroni in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Banter FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Roberto Teuma Castelletti got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Roberto Teuma Castelletti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Frederick Hili made a huge save. 1-1 became the score in the 37th minute when Tony Petroni elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Scriha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frederick Hili was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. If Tony Petroni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Peter Paul Testa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Juan Duca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peter Paul Testa might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Duca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Paul Testa ran back to his position shaking his head. The Gharb Rangers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Banter FC were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Peter Paul Preca to strike the kick off in the second half. Peter Paul Testa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joseph Rapinett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Frederick Hili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Jonathan Scriha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Peter Paul Preca fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Banter FC's protests and gave Peter Paul Preca a yellow card for diving instead. Peter Paul Preca kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Tony Petroni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederick Hili having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gharb Rangers's zone, Tyron Ciappara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Duca came out of the goal and Tyron Ciappara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th match minute, Gharb Rangers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Teuma Castelletti to maneuver through the defense. Frederick Hili came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Gharb Rangers's Roberto Teuma Castelletti. But to his dismay, Roberto Teuma Castelletti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 87 minutes into the game, Roberto Teuma Castelletti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Frederick Hili was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tony Petroni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gharb Rangers fully deserved thier win.
