Spectators: 8100 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 100) Banter FC's Peter Paul Preca started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Banter FC defense, Baldomiro Poncio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frederick Hili. The Banter FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frederick Hili should have stopped the shot. Frederick Hili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomiro Poncio in the 6th minute of the match. When Sean McMaster came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Ponticella Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sean McMaster couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the game, Ponticella Stars's Giovanni Borg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frederick Hili made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Banter FC's Peter Paul Testa got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frederick Hili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Borg in the 19th minute of the match. Martin Conti charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Conti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute Edgar Sigfridsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederick Hili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Banter FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Borg came free, but Frederick Hili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frederick Hili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Sigfridsson in the 27th minute of play. Frederick Hili came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Ponticella Stars's Giovanni Borg. But to his dismay, Giovanni Borg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Frederick Hili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Sigfridsson in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Ponticella Stars getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ştefan Corbu hit a great ball. Frederick Hili didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Sigfridsson went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute Edgar Sigfridsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederick Hili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brandon Zahra kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After 48 minutes of play, Ponticella Stars's Baldomiro Poncio made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frederick Hili was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgar Sigfridsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Frederick Hili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciro Tieri in the 54th minute. A collision led to Banter FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Brandon Zahra hit a great ball. In the 57th minute Giovanni Borg collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Brandon Zahra charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brandon Zahra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ponticella Stars made a substitution. John Dingli replaced Giovanni Borg. A collision led to Banter FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Brandon Zahra hit a great ball. Frederick Hili made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Edgar Sigfridsson sent off a good shot on target. With splendid footwork Edgar Sigfridsson arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-6 by the left pole in the game's 65th minute. Edgar Sigfridsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Frederick Hili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ponticella Stars's Philip Preca was substituted for Sean McMaster. In the 83rd minute, Ponticella Stars's Adrian Lowell dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. Edgar Sigfridsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Frederick Hili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Banter FC's Frederick Hili got control of the ball when John Dingli tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frederick Hili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Dingli in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Banter FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adrian Lowell fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 98 minutes of play, Ponticella Stars's Edgar Sigfridsson made it 0-12 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frederick Hili was left in no man's land by his defense there!
