The audience thought a goal was coming when Jason Francalanza got free with Ryan Xiberras in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Bianconeri's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Haber came free, but John Gulia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sean Haber hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Haber in the 43rd minute of play forced Bianconeri's goalkeeper John Gulia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ad Astra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sean Haber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Bianconeri's John Gulia got control of the ball when Sean Haber tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jason Francalanza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bianconeri's Clayton Hamilton quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Antoine Muscat, made in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 74th minute, Jason Francalanza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bianconeri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Sean Habers short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got John Gulia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sean Haber scored 2-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of John Gulia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gregory Scriha's late challenge caught a Bianconeri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregory Scriha helped the player get up and apologised. John Gulia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Haber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
