Ryan Xiberras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Paul Asciak, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Sean Haber blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frederick Hili having to make a save. Ad Astra's Robert Pullicino got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Paul Testa in the 75th minute of play forced Ad Astra's goalkeeper Ryan Xiberras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th match minute, Ad Astra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evan Borda to maneuver through the defense. Ad Astra's Luke Attard quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Clyde De Giovanni, made in the 83rd minute of the game. Ryan Xiberras came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Banter FC's Peter Paul Preca. But to his dismay, Peter Paul Preca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Nicholas Tanti hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Robert Pullicino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Frederick Hili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
