John Gulia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ryan They went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Luigi Valletta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jason Francalanza in the 24th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Jason Francalanza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luigi Valletta. San Ġwann Athletic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jason Francalanza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Bastjan Portelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bianconeri's John Gulia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Giorgio in the 36th minute of play. Halil Onul hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jason Francalanza got free with Luigi Valletta in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bianconeri's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
