Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edgar Sigfridsson kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Msida booed when Ponticella Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Poncio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Christopher Ciantar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Carbonese came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Ponticella Stars's Baldomiro Poncio. But to his dismay, Baldomiro Poncio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Edgar Sigfridsson scored 0-2 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Carbonese, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the game, Ponticella Stars's Edgar Sigfridsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivan Carbonese made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When Baldomiro Poncio came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Ponticella Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomiro Poncio couldn't finish the play. Edgar Sigfridsson scored 0-4 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Carbonese, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ciro Tieri might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Carbonese. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciro Tieri ran back to his position shaking his head. Ivan Carbonese didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Tieri went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Ivan Carbonese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Poncio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ponticella Stars's Ciro Tieri in 29 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Ivan Carbonese guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Edgar Sigfridsson put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Ivan Carbonese. Edgar Sigfridsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Carbonese having to interfere. Ivan Carbonese didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Tieri went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. 44 minutes into the game, Ponticella Stars's Edgar Sigfridsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivan Carbonese made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. After 48 minutes, Edgar Sigfridsson made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Msida's Ivan Carbonese tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-11 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christopher Ciantar to strike the kick off in the second half. Ciro Tieri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Ivan Carbonese made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Baldomiro Poncio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ponticella Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomiro Poncio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Carbonese breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60thth minute Ciro Tieri got a great chance to score trying to place the ball in the top left corner, but Ivan Carbonese was prepared and efficiently stopped the ball from getting in. With an all-out effort, Ponticella Stars's Ivan Carbonese threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Baldomiro Poncio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ivan Carbonese didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ponticella Stars's Edgar Sigfridsson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-12 in the ordered_time% minute. After having played for 68 minutes, Tomi Ita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ponticella Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomi Ita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baldomiro Poncio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ivan Carbonese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciro Tieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Carbonese having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Sigfridsson in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Carbonese prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 76 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Poncio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Carbonese. Msida's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomiro Poncio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-13. Ponticella Stars's Adrian Lowell was substituted for Ciro Tieri. In the 81st minute, Luciano Namura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Msida getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Luciano Namura hit a great ball. After 84 played minutes Msida got a freekick which was hit by Andrè Lauri. After 85 played minutes Msida got a freekick which was hit by Andrè Lauri. 88 minutes into the game, Edgar Sigfridsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivan Carbonese. Edgar Sigfridsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-14. Edgar Sigfridsson in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ivan Carbonese, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hélio Paredes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivan Carbonese. Msida's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ponticella Stars's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
