Calderon Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ad Astra the free kick. A collision led to Calderon Stars getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Bernard Vella hit a great ball. A hard shot 7 in the game by Richard Cesareo from a close distance when the talented Ryan Xiberras managed to make a qualified save. Ad Astra's players were relieved. The supporters of Ad Astra booed when Calderon Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Vella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ad Astra's Alan Manduca got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Kenneth Mugliett took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ryan Xiberras to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Calderon Stars getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gary Musu hit a great ball. A collision led to Ad Astra getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Alan Manduca hit a great ball. Nicholas Laus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ryan Xiberras having to make a save. After 35 played minutes Ad Astra got a freekick which was hit by Roderick Scalpello. Alan Manduca charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Manduca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes Ad Astra got a freekick which was hit by Alan Manduca. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kenneth Mugliett got free with Ryan Xiberras in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th match minute, Ad Astra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Pullicino to maneuver through the defense. In the 48thth minute of the game Kenneth Mugliett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ad Astra's Ryan Xiberras was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kenneth Mugliett to make the kick off. Ad Astra's Ryan Xiberras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cumhur Onsal in the 53rd minute of play. The Calderon Stars fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Calderon Stars's Tommy Salerno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cumhur Onsal took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ryan Xiberras. Ryan Xiberras dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 68 minutes into the match, Richard Cesareo notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Ad Astra's Ryan Xiberras. Ryan Xiberras was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cumhur Onsal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ad Astra's Ryan Xiberras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenneth Mugliett in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Gregory Scriha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicholas Laus took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ryan Xiberras. Ad Astra's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Ad Astra's goal looked a bit too open when Cumhur Onsal came free, but Ryan Xiberras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Kenneth Mugliett made a precise shot to the right of Ryan Xiberras. Ad Astra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ad Astra's goalkeeper Ryan Xiberras, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Richard Cesareo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joseph Montanaro hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Calderon Stars's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
