Darren Carabott scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Duca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 7 minutes into the match, Darren Carabott notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Gharb Rangers's Juan Duca. Juan Duca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 10 played minutes Gharb Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Rapinett. Juan Duca came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Eleven Young Elephants's Zlatko Zahovič. But to his dismay, Zlatko Zahovič quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Juan Duca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darren Carabott went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. In the 29th minute Severino Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Duca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 31 minutes, Zlatko Zahovič managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eleven Young Elephants's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zlatko Zahovič was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd match minute, Gharb Rangers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniele Borda to maneuver through the defense. Darren Carabott could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Juan Duca made a huge save. Gharb Rangers's Jonathan Scriha got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Eleven Young Elephants's Zlatko Zahovič dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 9-0. 45 minutes into the game, Eleven Young Elephants's Severino Bueno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Duca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 10-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Bueno to make the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 51 minutes into the game, when Charles Pavia put in a rough tackle. Zlatko Zahovič shot the penalty kick right outside the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Bueno in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Duca saved Gharb Rangers from getting behind. Roberto Teuma Castelletti came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aaron Tanti could save by the left post. Juan Duca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zlatko Zahovič in the 59th minute of play. Severino Bueno scored 12-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Duca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Eleven Young Elephants fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Eleven Young Elephants's Severino Bueno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 13-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 66th minute, Andrea Critien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 14-0 when Zlatko Zahovič sped through Gharb Rangers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juan Duca. António Silva hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Bueno in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Duca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Gharb Rangers defense, Zlatko Zahovič kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Duca. The Gharb Rangers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Duca should have stopped the shot. Zlatko Zahovič scored 17-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Duca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juan Duca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zlatko Zahovič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gharb Rangers's Juan Duca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darren Carabott in the 96th minute of play. Juan Duca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darren Carabott in the 97th minute of the match. Juan Duca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Carabott in the 98th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Eleven Young Elephants players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
