When Jacob Vella Bonavita fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Msida's protests and gave Jacob Vella Bonavita a yellow card for diving instead. Eleven Young Elephants's Severino Bueno was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 16th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Eleven Young Elephants's Severino Bueno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivan Carbonese made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The Eleven Young Elephants fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Eleven Young Elephants's Severino Bueno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ivan Carbonese, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Severino Bueno received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ivan Carbonese came out and tried to block the shot, but Severino Bueno slotted it home off the left post making it 7-0 in the 28th minute. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Severino Bueno sped through Msida's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivan Carbonese. Zlatko Zahovič took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Carbonese. Ivan Carbonese dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 10-0 when Severino Bueno sped through Msida's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivan Carbonese. Eleven Young Elephants's Severino Bueno was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 41st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 12-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severino Bueno made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Bueno in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Carbonese prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zlatko Zahovič fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Carbonese having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Bueno in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Carbonese prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlo Camilleri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Carbonese stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severino Bueno's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Msida's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Bueno came free, but Ivan Carbonese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Zlatko Zahovič had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Carbonese. Msida's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zlatko Zahovič was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 17-0. Severino Bueno took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Carbonese. Ivan Carbonese dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 18-0. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Carbonese prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 86 minutes into the match, Zlatko Zahovič had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Carbonese. Msida's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zlatko Zahovič was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 19-0. When Eleven Young Elephants's Severino Bueno in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Eleven Young Elephants's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlo Camilleri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Carbonese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Bueno in the 93rd minute of the match.
