An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Bueno in the 4th minute of play forced Calderon Stars's goalkeeper Neville Bajada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Fabio Savona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Neville Bajada quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Enzo Perez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Neville Bajada having to make a save. In the 17th minute of the match, Darren Carabott got a very nice opportunity to score, but Neville Bajada was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After taking down the ball on Eleven Young Elephants's corner Fabio Savona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Neville Bajada quite easily take care of the ball. Calderon Stars's Neville Bajada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zlatko Zahovič in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Calderon Stars's Neville Bajada got control of the ball when Severino Bueno tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute, Tommy Salerno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Darren Carabott could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Neville Bajada made a huge save. 39 minutes into the match, Eleven Young Elephants's goal looked a bit too open when Cumhur Onsal came free, but Aaron Tanti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 played minutes Calderon Stars got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Montanaro. Neville Bajada acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 41st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fabio Savona. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Kenneth Mugliett made the kick off in the second half. Darren Carabott hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Darren Carabott managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eleven Young Elephants's supporters rose to their feet, but Darren Carabott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Neville Bajada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Calderon Stars getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bernard Vella hit a great ball. After 58 minutes of play, Eleven Young Elephants's Severino Bueno made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Neville Bajada was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenneth Mugliett during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Eleven Young Elephants booed when Calderon Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Mugliett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neville Bajada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 71st minute, Zlatko Zahovič made a precise shot to the right of Neville Bajada. Calderon Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Eleven Young Elephants made a substitution. António Silva replaced Daan Jurásek. Neville Bajada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zlatko Zahovič's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Neville Bajada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zlatko Zahovič went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. When Cumhur Onsal came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Calderon Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cumhur Onsal couldn't finish the play. Zlatko Zahovič recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neville Bajada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Bueno in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Calderon Stars's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabio Savona was slow to take the kick. During this time Eleven Young Elephants's players had a chance to rest. Fabio Savona made a great header on Eleven Young Elephants's corner, it was just that Calderon Stars's Neville Bajada managed to reach the ball for a save. Eleven Young Elephants walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
