Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Giorgio Marmara took the kick off in the first half of the match. Giorgio Marmara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Dwejra fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Dwejra's Giorgio Marmara looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jason Cachia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Schiavone in the 12th minute of play. David Schiavone scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jason Cachia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tommy Griffin struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Liam Ciscaldi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ħamrun. Jonathan Robinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Liam Ciscaldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22ndth minute of the game Giorgio Marmara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ħamrun's Jason Cachia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. David Schiavone struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Jason Cachia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dwejra. 25 minutes into the match, Ħamrun's goal looked a bit too open when David Schiavone came free, but Jason Cachia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dwejra's David Schiavone in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ħamrun's goalie prevented a goal. In the 31st match minute, Ħamrun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Griffin to maneuver through the defense. Ivan Attard took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jason Cachia. Jason Cachia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After having played for 37 minutes, David Schiavone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dwejra's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Schiavone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute, Giorgio Marmara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jason Cachia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Giorgio Marmara scored 0-5 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jason Cachia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Giorgio Marmara put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Jason Cachia. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

53 minutes into the game, David Schiavone lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Jason Cachia. David Schiavones short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Jason Cachia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. David Schiavone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jason Cachia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Giorgio Marmara rounded Ħamrun's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giorgio Marmara in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jason Cachia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Schiavones short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Jason Cachia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Ħamrun booed when Dwejra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Galea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tyron Said shot from long distance after 67 played minutes, a shot that Liam Ciscaldi with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Ivan Attard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jason Cachia was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ivan Attard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dwejra's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Attard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jason Cachia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 minutes, David Schiavone made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Ħamrun's Jason Cachia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Giorgio Marmara succeeded in the game's 78th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-10. Jason Cachia didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 0-11. Jason Cachia came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Dwejra's David Schiavone. But to his dismay, David Schiavone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. Ħamrun's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Giorgio Marmara 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-13. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgio Marmara in the 96th minute of play forced Ħamrun's goalkeeper Jason Cachia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Ħamrun fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dwejra were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
