Evan Lia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a little luck, Balzan's Evan Lia got control of the ball when Fabrizio Hamilton tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Nikolai De Marco notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Balzan's Evan Lia. Evan Lia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jason Schembri Zerafa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evan Lia having to interfere. Frederick Pulè made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zach Apap in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Jason Schembri Zerafa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Evan Lia. The goal made the score 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrone Tabone in the 19th minute of play forced Balzan's goalkeeper Evan Lia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aidan De Fremeaux kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Zach Apap was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balzan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maleth F.C. the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Balzan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zach Apap to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Maleth F.C.'s Fabrizio Hamilton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evan Lia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Maleth F.C.'s Tyrone Tabone got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tyrone Tabones short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Evan Lia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, Maleth F.C.'s Jason Schembri Zerafa got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Evan Lia. Evan Lia was a little too slow when Botond Petres got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 7-0. Maleth F.C.'s Botond Petres got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tyrone Tabone to strike the kick off in the second half. Botond Petres took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evan Lia. Evan Lia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Fabrizio Hamilton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maleth F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Fabrizio Hamilton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evan Lia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57thth minute of the game Tyrone Tabone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Balzan's Evan Lia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 59 minutes, Tyrone Tabone made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Balzan's Evan Lia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nikolai De Marco took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evan Lia. Evan Lia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. Evan Lia came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Maleth F.C.'s Tyrone Tabone. But to his dismay, Tyrone Tabone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. When Maleth F.C.'s Tyrone Tabone in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Balzan's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77th minute, Botond Petres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evan Lia was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. After a defensive mix-up in Balzan's zone, Tyrone Tabone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evan Lia came out of the goal and Tyrone Tabone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evan Lia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tyrone Tabone's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 88thth minute of the game Tyrone Tabone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Balzan's Evan Lia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maleth F.C.'s Fabrizio Hamilton got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tyrone Tabone took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evan Lia. Evan Lia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 15-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Maleth F.C. fully deserved thier win.
